This fucshia was so slow to start, I was afraid it would be too high maintenace to add to the overwintered collection, but it has finally taken off. I've potted up twice and its a few feet tall. I love the foliage and then these firecracker blooms! This will definately live inside with me this winter.

I love it. I'm bringing it in to keep growing. I hope it gets huge! What a wonderful color all together it makes. I'm fond of the triphylla fuchsia, nice growing habits.

It's beautiful! I just photographed some growing in the ground in the shade under a large African Tulip Tree in Balboa Park today. I was going to post it tonight, but you beat me to it. lol! :>)

LOL...isn't it just Grandmage. :-)
Delonix, post anyway, I'd love to see it like that. I'm so pleased with it. Really high maintenance in the house, but I don't want to lose it. Some things aren't available here the next year.

I've posted it. :>)
I would think it to be a very high maintenance houseplant. I would never think of growing one indoors, as it would be infested with spider mites and other bugs.

It is high maintenance, doesn't go dormant with the rest of the fuchsia, put pests are controllable, my trouble is keeping the right moisture.

I've never seen a Fuchsia tree/shrub go dormant. I assume they do in colder area, though.
Pest are not so easy to control here. We get the Santa Ana Wind (hot dry winds) conditions during fall and winter. Plants indoors here suffer so badly.

Just my two cents. :>) This plant doesn't grow very big or tall...it's a dwarf.

Yes, as you say Delonix, it is only about four foot max. I'll be cutting it down to keep it managable as well as healthy.

In the ground here it grows just slightly taller, to 5ft/1.5m tall...I've posted some pics of some old ones which were even a little taller. :>)
