This is better on a light background Sticki because there's more in the shot.

Pro flash equipment would have made the Iris shot better by getting rid of the shadows.

Very clear in every detail.........if it is Iris does it have a nice smell? Or is it a lily of some kind? We here are not familiar with flowers like these unless one is living in the hill country. I am living on flat ground down to earth!

You're correct - it is a dwarf Iris, not highly scented.
The other one is Alstromeria psitticina, a beautiful plant from South America.
