"Bad boys" in garden, but my most faithful friends.

I used to have a friendly blackbird in my garden in London. She came to show me each twig she was putting in her nest! :)

...she was probably teaching you! Lol.
I like animals, too. They always teach us.

Blackbirds are very friendly. At a Gc where I once worked for a short time, we had a very old blackbird christened 'Freddy' by the staff. He liked raisins and would come take them from your hand. Amazing!!

How did you know that Freddy is old? Lol.

He was at least 7years old, which I think is quite old for a blackbird. Pam one of the staff there had fed him from a young bird which took quite alot of patience as you can imagine. She said she had been feeding him for all that time - so he was a least 7yrs if not more!! We took it in turns to buy a big bag of raisins for him and kept them in the plant advice hut!

Yes he was quite well fed - everyone wanted to have a go! so goodness knows how many raisins he wolfed down each day! - bless him
