Much excitement!
This is one of the two flower spikes on my Paphiopedilum noid that Sue bought me out of the bargain bin back in May. I've taught her well - reduced from eighteen quid down to a fiver!

Meanie:
How exciting! I can't wait to see it bloom.
This is the best time of the year for orchids to bloom. I can't wait to see all my orchids blooming. I guess I better fertilize them. Do you fertilize your orchids.

Sticki - I reckon anther two or three weeks.
Delonix - they get a feed occasionally! More important to get the temps right though I think.

Meanie:
I think you're correct. My orchids get no fertilizer (even though I've read they should be fertilized regularly). Orchids here seem to like when the nights get a little shorter and cooler. This is why so many orchid genera bloom in fall and winter, here in San Diego.
