...I even kept a bit of the Epimedium...just couldn't bear to take it all out when it came to the crunch...those lovely green leaves will be there all winter..perhaps I'll haul the rest out next spring! I hope to get started on the long border tomorrow.

It really is very smart now, wonder if you can stand it seeing all that soil or how long you will be before it is all filled in again. lol.

Thanks Crissue. Added a Tiarella, a Heucherella and a Heuchera today, to fill in some of the bigger gaps. There are loads of Astrantias in there which I had to cut down to get the rest of the weeds etc. out, so it won't be bare.
