No M, not your fault at all. I bought one from them for my Mum in the sale earlier this year and it was lovely! I thought mine would be like that.....but I think it will be fine...just needs time to adjust.

How dissapointing, I've done that too Ks. I am lucky enough to have a really good nursery within 20miles. I bought an acer for £20 at local wyevales on Friday. I wish I had waited because for £25 the nursery were selling 4ft high specimens in full leaf. They also had some really large specimens for around £300. I'm sure your plant will come good in the end.
Another beautiful plant J. In your beautiful garden.

Hi M! My acer came from crocus today...only about 9" tall and with not a single leaf on it! Still, it looks healthy enough...actually looks as though it is in a 'late winter' state...buds ready to burst...very strange. There was a note with it to say not to worry that it was not 'flowering' but that it will be fine and should grow this year. Well, it may do in this weather...but if not, I'm sure it will be fine next year. A little disappointed, the price, including p&p was over £20, so I really would have been better ordering one through my local nursery...that will teach me to be lazy!
