I will ask the bloke who gave it to me!! Overwinter in the giant glasshouse and watch it grow next year!

I've grown this before Lulu. Its proper name is Cobaea scandens. Its usually grown as an annual. I just looked it up in the RHS plant guide, its says frost tender 4C. So if you have somewhere suitable you could keep it. If not you can grow new ones from seed sown in spring. Thanks for reminding me of it, it's a lovely plant with beautiful dark purple flowers! (Sow the seed on its edge to stop them rotting)
