How do you take dahlia cuttings?
Lovely photo and flowers by the way!

Early Spring Sticki...Set the tubers in boxes of damp multipurpose compost,(dont cover the tubers completely)..place them somewhere bright and warmish....Shoots will begin to appear, keep the tuber and compost damp and when the shoots are about 3-4" tall, slice them off with a very sharp knife...I always take a slither of tuber attached to the cutting...Place the cuttings around a pot of gritty multipurpose and keep warmish and watered...When roots appear from the bottom of the pot, knock them out and pot up singly...Grow on until big enough to plant out after frost...:>)) ..Very easy
