Heuchera - Original 'Caramel' not...It's 'Marmalade'

I would really like GOYers opinions on this
I bought this one several weeks ago, and she has developed really lovely colours and crinkly foliage...
Bought what I thought was another two weeks ago, and now they are planted in the same Border they look totally different, and the latest one looks identical to my young 'Marmalade'
What do you think...

The original 'Caramel' Paul...which I've googled and found..It is stunning...Have a look of my pic of the new Caramel...doesn't have this tight crinkly shape, still beautiful...but I'm sure it's 'Marmalade, another beauty in it's own right...

Maybe they got the labels mised up?

I think so Pix...same GC...I have a young 'Marmalade' and the newer one I bought, and they are identical...

I would say its Marmalade too, the leaves are too crinkly anyway for Caramel. Nice plant though

When I googled Caramel Sylvia...this is what I got...so I think this is Caramel...
I have a young Marmalade and another I bought and they're identical...so confusion...I don't mind really..but would like to be sure...

That is sooooo spooky! Yesterday I bought a 'Marmalade'...got it home and it looks EXACTLY the same as my original 'Caramel'!! I also bought two new 'Caramel' for my border and they are totally different to the old 'Caramel' and have much lighter colour and flatter leaves. My conclusion is that this one...which looks exactly the same as my 'original' caramel is 'Marmalade' ...which I THINK is your conclusion too! Funny, we seem to have gone through the same process on the same day Cinders!!

Well I still think the one you have there is Marmalade Sue. I have just been on to the Plantagogo site and looked at Caramel and it doesn't look like your picture.

Off out to look at my marmalade now. You have set me off. I thought it looked too pink underleaf to be marmalade. Be back in a mo.

My marmalade looks like this - crinkly leaves but not as pink more burgundy pink underleaf. After saying that it is awfully dry in my garden and that could have made the difference to the shade of leaf colour. I know weather conditions do alter the look of plants.

I have just googled Caramel and it is a much more golden bronze/orange colour than this one and as Karen says no crinkles, think the labels have been muddled again Crissue, complain you may get a refund.

I have just been out and photographed mine, will put the pics up in a mo. The young marmalade does look lighter.

I'm totally confused now...^:^ I'll go with what you all say...They are beautiful all three...just remember if I split and share, I won't be sure what they are lol....:)))
Pot Luck...

I love the 'marmalade'....the crinkly leaves are great aren't they. Caramel seems to be much brighter in my view, and flatter leaves. They are both lovely but Marmalade is my favourite of the two.

Hi Karen...I've just been and taken pics of the two Heucheras...The young one sent to me by a kind friend came as Marmalade...and the bigger one I bought a few weeks ago as Caramel...you will see they are the same..so hence my confusion...

:) ok

I can see now Karen why Marmalade is so popular with us all...love the crinkly leaves, and colour formation..At least I've got three now ne na...lol...

lol! :))

Is this okay for shade ? Must get one for the shadier gravel garden part :))))))))))))

8 Oct, 2011

Yes Paul...I think all the Heucheras will take some shade and most will prefer it. The darker ones seem to be the ones that will take more sun.
