Dawn for once we are pleased with it's progress, we have the green Fatsia , it grows really well here, but fancied a change.

Thought I'd lost my Fatsia last Winter, such a harsh Winter but they bounced back. A change is as good as a rest - so they say :-)

Do these grow quickly, Dotty? ... The folk behind us have felled a tall Conifer ... not sure how long I can bear to see the gap it's created!

Hi Shirley you have been busy catching up........ it takes a while to get started, but then they put on a lot of growth very quickly, they can be pruned hard also, the green one grows more quickly and is not so tender.

Yes indeed ... trying to catch up slowly ... the more I see Fatsia the more I like the look of it ... I regularly walk past a fine specimen in a front garden ... believe it or not it was being given a severe haircut today! ... :o) . . . . .

We do ours in the Spring usually.

I thought you would say that ... the house has just been rented out ... I imagine they are not gardening folk ... just needed some space to get to the front door! . . . . .
