This Golden trumpet was being sold at Home Depot the big box store here in San Diego, CA. Photo taken Oct. 1, 2011 with my iPhone.

Had it (and cathartica)...they didnt make it through the winter. Temps in low 40's caused the leafs to mottle. I should try again.

A. neriifolia is slightly hardier than cathartica; however, they are both very tropical plants. They will not tolerate winter chill at all! During cooler winters here, like Jan. 2013 they looked very sad; however, they come back strong in spring.
