Sorry but I really couldn't say PoppyL and Homebird, as I took this photo at the garden centre,but I think I can remember Moti having this one and someone saying they smelt of chocolate, Perhaps Moti can tell you .

Hi PoppyL and Homebird, just googled Cosmos and it definately does have a chocolate scent.
