Sid - we have a Panasonic DMC-LZ2 which was very affordable when we got it almost two years ago. We get very nice results in bright outdoor light, but not nearly as good indoors or in low light. The camera is now blurring the left side when taking normal pictures(I'm a klutz and probably dropped it one time too many), but it still works well for close-ups like this. It's probably not worth the expense of repairing it, so a search for a new and better camera will begin soon.

My camera is rubbish for anything that's moving, plus there is a long delay between pushing the button and the actual picture being taken. The fly would ahve been long gone with my camera!

I'm thinking about getting it fixed, but at the same time don't want to be without it since it's our only camera. Also, it was an inexpensive camera which is now discontinued, so I'd rather put the money into a newer and better one. I've done some research on this issue and haven't found any specific mention of this problem with this model, so figure it's my own negligence. I might talk to someone at the local camera shop and see if they have any words of wisdom on it.
