A pretty thug!

Very pretty B

Yes, she is, and as she flowers again at this time of year, useful too. Still a thug, though!

I did not realise that V. difformis was a thug, I reserved that for major and minor. My boss used to try to cultivate this and had very little success. What a strange world gardening is.

Nice thug though!

Vincent, it even roots itself in cracks in the path. It has walked across a 6' flowerbed, and also round a fence and into the next 'room' of my garden. <sigh>

The flowers are pretty, Sheila. That's it! :-(

A really nice plant if you have a wild area tho...if!!

Absolutely Tet - luckily much of my garden is "wild" so it's very useful!!

In my garden, she has clambered up and over a 6' wall, too - a very determined lady, our Jenny :-/

My clem Grandiflora is at present trying to take over the adjoining allotments so its one I would avoid

Is that a montana?

Yup! the white one

Well, at least they don't mind being cut back.

We wont have many flowers after next spring for a while, its going to have a few amputations!!

30 Oct, 2011

Eeek! - that sounds drastic!

31 Oct, 2011

Well we have let it get rather out of control - when we had horses in the field behind they kept trimming it for us but now its allotments and its a fight between clematis and bindweed with sprouts coming a distant third lol!

31 Oct, 2011

I'd prefer the Clem. Much prettier than sprouts! ;-)
