Thanks Pix, owls are difficult!

7 Nov, 2011

Yeah looks complicated! DO you like doing commissions? I dont really..feel too much pressure then. Just sold a apinting to a lady in Kuala Lumpar..2 days later this other lady from Dubai contacted me..wanted same painting!..so I offered to paint one similar (inacrylics so quickly done) It wasnt a painting that took any time at all! So that wasnt a bad commission! :)))

Nope, commissions are scary! Am waiting to see if he likes it so far! But it pushes my boundaries, which is a good thing!
Hey ho, better go get dressed, walk and feed the pups!
Have a good day hun x

14 Nov, 2011

Oh glass cutting, what fun but not always easy depending on the glass. Best of luck!!

14 Nov, 2011

Can't believe the level of detail you achieve Lulu with the tiny pieces you are able to cut. Looks amazing! Feel better soon.

Looking nice already :))

Mmm had a little practice tonight managed to do straight lines but not successful all the time think I need to do it in better light too and more practice also need to do it on a lower surface to control the pressure I was hoping to do curves but think that will take a huge amount of practice also just bought a glass cutter from Homebase on the way home think I most probably need a better cutter what make do you find best? Have you got over your flu??

14 Nov, 2011

Not sure of the make Nana (it's over in the studio!) It's just a roller cutter with oil in the end.
I find cutting a curve on about 1-2" of glass ok, it's the really big ones that can be difficult. Always cut on the smooth side and good light is a great help!!
Over my flu but not the kidney infection. Just been given different anti biotics...fingers crossed.
Thanks Michaella, will post another pic on Friday.
Thanks Lil, this is the first time I have tried a face or an owl for that matter!! I will only know after the grout and will probably shade in certain grouted areas too.
