Just had to have this lovely little clematis - pixie when I found it reduced to half price at the local GC. The lavender plants were also reduced. So nice to get a bargain!

Yay, love a bargain Pimpernel and Terra! I thought I might have a go at shaping the lavender when it gets going. (Pinched the idea from Noahsgarden) hehee

Thanks Amy
Its amazing what the GC's reduce down. There were loads of plants reduced. Nothing wrong with them, just end of season stuff that they want to get rid of!! (This was Wyevales)

Lucky you.I spent a lot for clematis plants as there is not much culture here in Greece about the plant and I got all of my clematis from Uk nursery. In fact most money goes for posts.
My pixie is in a chemney pot. I think is the best because shows off the plant and its colour.

lYes Bik, it suggests that on my label. I might be a touch optimistic expecting it to grow up the trellis. If it doesnt take off I will do the same with mine. Its a shame you cant get a few plant bargains in greece. I love the fact I now have a bit more time to hunt out the plant bargains.

Youve had a few good ones yourself Pimp! Its also a good way of trying out some new plants. How is your Nepenthes doing?? I bought a lovely Saracena. Still alive and kicking in my front porch (unheated). Hoping it might turn out like Mossys!!! lol

It is doing brilliantly Poppy..I put a Q about it just the other day, it needs repotting as it is almost twice the size it was and has the tiny little pitchers just begining to form on all the new leaves. It's fascinating and a miracle it is still alive, I have not lost any house plants YET!...
Mosseys Garden is full of ideas!

Thats good to hear Pimp. I managed to get a half price clematis armandii the other day. Ive wanted one for years but was put off by the price. Theyre usually twice the price of a normal clem! Just got to find the right place to put it now.
