We have Fishtail palms in the Palm House at Kew; the public love them.

Rbtkew:

I bet they look gorgeous in the famous Palm House of Kew!

Fishtail palms (several species) are very popular here in San Diego. Although, they must be strategically placed...because when they die 5 years or so after they bloom...they must be cut down. They are not the easiest palm to cut down because the wood is hard and they grow very tall, to 70ft/21m (sometimes taller).
