Nother one for mR hYWEL

Antoher cactus in the porch..doesnt look very healthy..this is the one that produced the most beautiful flower earlier his year..now it just looks sad...should I remove the brown bits?

Yet it produced the most awesome huge red flower this year!

It might need repotting. I'd cut off the dead bits.
Yes they've got beautiful flowers haven't they ...

Perhaps it has had too much sun. These prefer semi shade so your porch might have been too much for it in the "gloriously hot summer" we have had! I would cut off the stems that are obviously shrivelled and dead and keep the ones that are still juicy to see it they green up again. They are tough plants so it should recover OK. Do repot it in the spring though. They are happy in a less gritty compost than most cacti as they tend to grow in leaf litter on trees.
