Hi Steve, we stayed in Walberswick in a lovely cottage last weekend, it was very nice, cosy and warm. We really love that part of the world.
4 Dec, 2011
Well captured Steve, it might be caused through erosion but it has a beauty of its own...

Sounds lovely . . . I will look for a pub to stay in, come the Spring. :)
4 Feb, 2012
staying in one right now doesnt sound a bad idea sheila! with a roaring cosy fire and some nice food!!??
4 Feb, 2012
sheila if ever in southwold visit "the nelson" public house.inside is small and cosy with open fire and if you walk out the front of the establishment with drink in hand you are confronted with the sea with many 2 and 3 seater benches to sit, admire and relax.
sticki i could recommend all day typing until my fingers are just stubs lol.ironbridge, rye, bath, tonebridge wells i could go on and on.and yes sitting in a quite cosy pub with a nice meal and companionship always sound a nice way to spend the day lol.

Hi Laversteve
Is this north to Yarmouth or south as i oftern go for a walk on the beaches, Dunich is wonderful as long as you walk north,LOL,
as i'm not to far from the coast but haven't seen this bit and might wander off this weekend .
I have had many a pint in the Nelson looking at sea it is a lovely old town Southwold
8 Feb, 2012
hi mushy if at southwold peir its north toward gt yarmouth.just before kessingland.you cant miss it as there is a tree standing alone in the shore line.i take a very early walk and sometimes walk for miles.ive walked from southwold to sizwell and from southwold to lowestoft.the whole coast along that eastern shoreline is fab.however i always have to seek refuge in the nelson after the walk lol.
southwold is lovely and so relaxing and stress free :o)
8 Feb, 2012
bet its expensive too!!??
8 Feb, 2012
the cost renting a house on the green(centre of town) can vary from £695-£1300 pw although if you dont mind a short walk the rents are cheaper.however the cost of living is the same as everywhere else.you can get 2pints,2 bags of crisps and still get change from £10 in the nelson lol
8 Feb, 2012
summed up the cost of living steve!! thanks!
8 Feb, 2012
lol :o))

That's a lorra lolly . . . I think I'd expect a swimming pool in the garden for that amount - phew! Maybe that's in high season??
8 Feb, 2012
lol sheila.that is high season but £1300 gets you a house that sleeps 12 and is in the centre of the village green.no swimming pool tho im afraid lol but you have the sea which is a 45 second walk away :o)
8 Feb, 2012
Blimey i like a walk along a beach but your keener than me
southwold to sizewell that's quite a way.
Next time we go i'll head north and have a look
Stickitoffee
You can get a shed on the beach, (ie beach hut) for £45,000
if your feeling flush LOL
9 Feb, 2012

i had a feeling this was one of the priciest places in the country!!!
9 Feb, 2012
Thanks Steve. I'll just wait for the weather to warm up a bit then. Might just settle for a paddle. :))
9 Feb, 2012
mushy it did take me all day and i had to get some body to collect me lol
mushy and sticki a beach hut in prime location(below the green and the nelson) sold for £95,000 last year.some people have more money than sense lol.
