Crissue, these plants have now been flowering for months, ever since the beginning of our winter back in June. There's the orange Ixora at the back, the Salvia splendens down the front and the purple Cleome spinosa at the end.
Of course the foliage plants, the Aralias and Crotons are always on show.
The Salvia splendens have now been flowering for over two years in those pots. I just snap off all the spent bloom spikes during the long flowering period, and then when they start to look really scraggley I cut them way back. They are definite favourites of mine.

Hooray for foliage plants, never cease to fail...they are such an addition to any Garden...
Isn't it wonderful when on particular plant just takes to it's surroundings, like your Splendens....:)))

Those Salvias are just fantastic, Crissue. If I had a large garden bed somewhere I'd be putting those in as fillers. They bloom for ages and I just love the colours.
