After a few false starts it seems our winter is beginning...temperatures have been up and down like a rollercoaster. Love the "marshmallow world"...but the wet snow froze on my satellite dish and I was without the internet for a couple of days until the temps went back up and the snow and ice melted away!

Thanks all... something you can all be thankful will not be coming your way too often this winter! Karenfrance: This and lots more..sad to say. We usually accumulate at least a foot of snow. two years ago last March we received five feet in one storm...and in March too. When the warmer temps arrive in late March and early April the snow melts very quickly and gives all the wildflowers a good drink to get them started. Many of the older folk go to Florida for the winter months..."snow birds"...not for me. I find the change of seasons invigorating.
Thanks Sandra...:-)

Hope you have a BIG woodpile, Lori! :)

Aye...that we do, Karen. lol... bought 2 cord of wood and piled it in the shed...and had a cord or two of wood left over from the last owners.. have to sharpen up the hatchet and cut some of the chunks down to size. Our stove is not that large but it is very good at heating the livingroom toasty warm.. have lots of dry wood in the bush to be brought down to the woodsheds..so we're going to be fine! Getting more snow today...got my wish yesterday. My cousin brought me a snowblower! Now we will at least be able to get out our driveway!

I'd like to say very nice - as long as it stays that side of the Atlantic!
