I think this is a cherry.. Shiny bark. Could be a Crab though.

I would have thought you would have more of these things going on down there. One of my customers has hollyhock still..Bedraggled the last few days. If I had time and permission Sticki, I would be posting pictures of spring , summer, autumn and winter all happening now.

I can't just take photo's in anyone's garden Sticki..I knocked on to ask about a plant in the porch today, but they did not know what it was called...I may use Stealth.....Listening in Canada?

surely if you just took a little picture of the plant or the flower but nothing in it that could identify the property it would be ok? the owner wouldnt even know it was theirs??

It looks like Prunus autumnalis - it flowers from November to April. I used to have one in my previous garden. It was very pretty and had flowers all winter long.

Wow what a great tree, I would love one that flowers from November to April. I have a plain old prunus serrula, you know the one with the shiny peely bark but wish I had seen this first. good old Hywel!
