This male blackbird may be missing its brightly coloured orange beak but makes of for this with it's lovely eyes.

Great picture Tom...One of my favourite birds, when I take the dog out 4am ish. All the Blackbirds are sat on the ground and let you walk up to about three feet away from them...Then they just hop a few feet away and settle back down. It is as though they haven't the energy or inclination to fly...Where as the lapwings are off while you are miles away
