Close up of my Billbergia nutens. It blooms this time of year here. I planted a lot more in my woods, and the flower stalks are coming up, so the show is just beginning.

Do you know why is it called Queen´s Tears? It must be beautful to have X-mas and these flowers in nearby woods.

It took a little searching, but I found that it's called Queen's Tears because if it gets touched, nectar weeps from the flowers and I'll be going later to see if it's true.

Its growing in a pot somewhere in the garden - such a strange plant!
