This uknown Cornus sp. is beautiful all year round. It is very small shrub (0,5 m). In spring it has light green leaves, which turn to yellow in the summer and to pinky in autumn. Finally, branches display in the winter.

Isn´t it? I will be obliged if somebody recognize what kind of Cornus it is, as I would like to buy some more. This is really making winter garden shining.

Yesterday I read some information on this type of Cornus and I was surprised that it grows very fast and reaches around 2 metres. My C. has just 0,5 m and is about three or four years the same. Have to add some fertilizer...

I have one like this called Midwinter Flame that reaches 6-9ft (2-3m). If you cut it back every year the stems will be more colorful. There is a newer variety called Arctic Fire which is just as colorful but much more compact. Nice to see those colorful stems in the winter :)

Hi, Robert!
Yes, one expert from GOY told me that this is Midwinter Flame, too. Then I checked it on google and came to the same conclusion :) :)
That would be great, if it reach that height, as it is on borders with the neighbour whom I can´t stand at all, as he is a terrible person, lol.
But for some reason, it is already fourth year in my garden and still not higher then 0.5 m. I wonder, if there exist small variants of Midwinter Flame?
I cut old branches in my Cornus variegata, but this small Cornus I haven´t had cut for years.
