my green man

Love it. ... and a big welcome to GoY Maezymare!

I am really fond of the green man and i like to put symbolic plaques etc around the garden its makes gardening more meaningful i think!?

the Green Man goes back hundreds of years, if not a thousand or more: very old churches often have the Green Man and other pagan symbols in their decorations.

I've been looking for one myself, but I can't find one that's *exactly* what I want - *s* it would help if I knew exactly what I wanted! but all I know is, the ones I've seen so far aren't *quite* right - but yours comes close.

i have several of them, like you say lots of them are just not quite right, would like a door knocker but never found just the right thing! lots of interesting reading and festivals based on Green Man i find all fascinating, love folklore myths and legends and earth mysteries.
Adding stuff that means something is something i love doing in my garden, its my little sanctuary and garden spirits are always welcome!
