I have found it hard to get a good photo of this buzzard (Buteo buteo), which is endemic to the Azores. Usually there is a group of 3 looking for a rabbit dinner.

These are becoming endangered because of poison in its food chain - the farmers put out poison for the rats & rabbits, and the buzzards eat them.

We are lucky enough to still get quite a few here - the farmers haven't managed to see them off yet, but not for want of trying........

We get a lot of buzzards here in Hungary too.
