I tried growing the ordinary, common-or-garden white arabis a couple of times, Paul, and you'd think a nice dry, sunny, slightly alkaline, rocky Italian garden would have it licking its lips, but no, twice it died from a lack of enthusiasm. This one looks worth another try.

Pretty. I grew Arabis georgiana a few years ago but it was only a biennial and I never collected the seeds. I had to get special permits to have it since it's endangered here. It wasn't a mat forming plant though, just a rosette of leaves with little white flowers on a long stalk. Kind of unobtrusive but still very nice.
