i like this one best, its so fresh makes me hungry and wanting to get out the cooking pots!!
does this one inspire you to paint pimpernel?

I would have to simplify it a lot Sticki...It took 10 mins to set it all up photograph and another 10 to cook the mussels..

Yes, Panasonic Lumix? I love mine, had it a while now, the Fz28, I think yours is the later model, there's a few of us now, Karen and Amy now Gattina, when she collects it, don't think I could wait a couple of months Lol. It does have amazing zoom doesn't it, and the Leica lens is the best. My brother came over Xmas and had bought himself a Fuji after debating which one to buy, now he wishes he'd got the Lumix, I must admit the light was much better on ours. He's always been fanatical about getting the best piece of kit, and for the first time, I beat him....Lol!

Lol...it is such a good clear lens..I had a Fuji they are good.

Don't rub it in, Janey - I'm having a hard enough time as it is, waiting for my Lumix, but pictures like this are great appetite-whetters.
Brilliant, Pim. I think you've surpassed yourself. I just wish I weren't allergic to mussels...... Yes, honestly.

My Step Gran was as well Gattina...they are very severe the reactions to shellfish. her head would swell up in minutes.
8 Jan, 2012
It doesn't take mussels to do that for me........
8 Jan, 2012
Something to look forward to Gattina though.....Ian is a great lover of seafood, where we lived in Spain was a renowned seafood area, beautiful mussels and langoustines, we would go down to the harbour when the boats had just come in and pick red mullet or sea bass for supper.....ah those were the days...:))

Langoustines taste great, but tear your fingers to pieces, mussels make me terribly ill, but I LOVE sea bass.
I've just managed to put this piccy up as my screensaver! Very impressive! I hope you don't mind if I borrow it for a while, Pim.

Not at all...The thumbnail pic you are using looks so colourful, I was surprised to see it was your nibbles!
8 Jan, 2012
Oh Yum, my kinda food!
Great study.
8 Jan, 2012
Mmm...Screensaver, not avatar, Pim., although the nibbles don't really show up well so small, do they? I'm going to have to think of something else for that, too.
