thanks. They were taller than I wanted for the front of the garden but that area is such a pain - with all the rock close to the surface and then half of it gets deep shade most of the day - it is tricky to find something that will work well there.

Beautiful plant and great pic. your bed sounds similar the the one I have, I planted a Penstemon collection late last summer that I had grown from plug plants - 3 each of five different colours....some flowered late but they are all doing fine - hope to most pics come the summer.

Thanks. There are so many species, also, I really need to try some of the others, especially since some of them are suited to less-than-ideal soil conditions. These just exploded after a couple of years in the ground so I think yours will also!
