What lovely friendly neighbours your mum has. When I was in Holmfirth, a worker at the Wrinkled Stocking cafe said they had one particular duck come knocking for food every day:-)

That sounds lovely and I like the name of the cafe.

It was from the program Last Of the Summer Wine which was filmed in Holmfirth and a favourite of my OH, a Yorkshire man. Afraid I wasn't keen on the program, but Holmfirth was lovely as were the people:-)

My mum loved the programme,especially Nora batty.and my friend regularly visited holmfirth with her mum and dad,she said how lovely the people were :))

I did a little blog on Holmfirth in May I think, we went with OH's daughters and stayed in a beautiful house in Upper Thong. It really was 'upper', but fortunately there was a bus which stopped outside to take us down to the town:-)
