Building in Paris

Building in Paris

Another view - you really can't see what the plants are growing in, and how they stay where they are. The whole side of the building was covered.

So have the plants grown through the building or has the building been built around the plants?? very odd

No, They did this here in manchester Sheilar on a small substation in the City Centre. They use a mesh line it with a heather matting fill that with growing medium and plant through. Now I think they have pre seeded rolls of turf they use as well.

When they removed it here a year or so back they found a "Banksy" on the wall underneith it. I prefere the plants.

How unusual. I've never heard of that being done before. Does it not cause damage or dampness to the building?

They must line it..Why, are you thinking of giving it a go? I find wallpapering stressful enough.

Ha ha, no I'm just curious, no intention of giving it a go! lol

It was quite extraordinary - you could only see the windows, no wall at all! The walls of my house are a very boring red brick, so if it wasn't for the damp, the cost and the hard work, I might think of giving it a go!
