I haven't put any pics up for ages. Sorry but I haven't been well. Had to give up heavy garden work after 50 years but have started growing a few orchids. Most are not in bloom at the moment but I thought I would post the 2 that currently are. This one is a boring old Phalaenopsis noid (no i.d.) of the sort sold by the supermarkets at under a tenner. Not impressive by chid standards but it's the first one I got to flower again (and again) so we love it.

Lovely John, I've had one for two or three years which has just finished flowering, it might flower again in the autumn. Glad to see you on here.

My attitude to orchids is that they do not have to be tricky, or of good provenance, but pleasing on the eye. And this is very pleasing!
In the GC's over the next few weeks will be cheap Cymbidiums. The blooms will be over, so you'll be taking a punt on the colour, but the most that I've paid for a Cym is sx quid!
Pleione pseudobulbs should be available soon too.
