Thanks Bjs. No apologies necessary but I did know. I'm sure I saw buds on two of them. Must check on third.

So you have 2 little shoots Alex? are they green or brown at the moment?
31 Jan, 2012
Two of them are green in you look closely....just coming out of the brown. The third is brown....I can't see any green yet. Now is the waiting game. How about you?

You'll need a bigger pot next year!!
My Bletilla striata has just poked its first shoot through!
Sticki - the Pleione pseudobulbs are in GCs now.........

I had three pots ready, one for each bulb. I was told that they like company so company I gave them.
My Bletilla striata has poked its first two shoots! I have it in a pot for now.
Can you believe I actually saw snowflakes falling today!!!
31 Jan, 2012
I think that I'll keep mine in the pot...........
I can believe the snowflakes! Something I have yet to see this winter thankfully!!!

Lucky you.
I think I've lost a few plants including one of my favorites:
Duranta erecta 'Sapphire Showers'
I won't know for sure until spring. Fingers crossed.

Sticki - I'll give you a shopping list!!!!
Alex - that is a real bummer losing that!
31 Jan, 2012
they might not have all the things you would want meanie

Ok, I bought some more!!! I want a bigger potful this year!
31 Jan, 2012
I can understand why!
31 Jan, 2012
£3.99 for ten corms.............you know you want to!!
31 Jan, 2012
I would buy them too for that price!
31 Jan, 2012
3.99 in all GCs?? dont i need sun for those?
31 Jan, 2012
Anywhere that stocks the Taylors range I would assume Sticki. They do like sun, but best pot grown anyway..........
31 Jan, 2012
doesnt look as if they have.
31 Jan, 2012
That'll avoid a lot of temptation then!
31 Jan, 2012
i hope they have something good, i have to spend it by the end of the month

Alexandramou:
You'll probably want kill me when I tell you what I did with my large pot of this orchid (mine was the common pink one). I threw it in the trash. I had it for years...and it does multiply like crazy!

Judging by her silence Delonix, it's a good job that the Atlantic ocean and an entire continent stands between the two of you!!!!!!
1 Feb, 2012
LOL! Yes.
My father gave me the plant years ago...and it bloomed and grew nicely, however, I didn't like its long dormancy period. It looked dead for far too long!
1 Feb, 2012
There is that. Over here we just lift and clean them, put them in a paper bag and store cool and dry for the winter.
1 Feb, 2012
no bessera elegans bulbs in the GC.
1 Feb, 2012
Delonix, @#)*&^$%..?!+!@^%$#..................!!!!!!!!!
1 Feb, 2012
That's a shame Sticki...........
1 Feb, 2012
they didnt recognise it at all, might take a picture in tomorrow just to show them.
they thought it was possible they had them when in flower but they werent sure.
shows they are more of a commercial enterprise than specialist!!

I knew you would hate me! LOL! :>)
1 Feb, 2012
;o)
1 Feb, 2012
That's the trouble with the big 'uns Sticki!
1 Feb, 2012
seems so, i saw other things that were nice but they werent special!
I thought £35 was quite a lot of money but it wont go very far!!!
1 Feb, 2012
Allowing for the fact that you would have bought a tree anyway for £15/£20 (?), what you would have spent on a tree is now a free gift. Think of it that way..............
2 Feb, 2012
oh im quite happy with the deal, just surprised that it doesnt go as far as you would think!!
