Yes, down to your judicious pruning J! Mine is only two years old, and I have one that is one year old. I just moved the bigger one...only a few inches...last autumn but looking forward to seeing it in leaf and the flowers are stunning too. Mine are Diabolo...the black leaved one and 'Burning Embers' (Wine red). I love them...they grow fast and the flowers are so pretty against the dark leaves. I shall give mine a haircut next year so it bushes out more like yours. Thanks J! :)
