Thats lovely Ladyessex, we had a really gorgeous one not far from where we live at the end of the drive to a really posh house, it was amazing, must have taken hours of work, some very malicious (or jealous) person chopped the head off it!!!!!!, such a shame :-(

What is the matter with the person that did that, must have a screw loose.
On the A127 near me a tree stump has been carved to look like a Mushroom & some idiot came along and painted graffiti on it but it was soon repainted back to how it was, seems to be left a lone now, here's hoping :0)

It should be taught in every horticultural college to those who want to learn the art of spare wood carving of conveniently shaped logs. Then the gardens and parks will be more attractive and amusing to people of all ages.

Just noticed I forgot to put the one near us was a peacock, only been done a couple of weeks before it was vandalised, glad the mushroom was saved :-), don't think the same can be done for the peacock :-(, yes makes you wonder what goes through their minds doesn't it.

i carved a wooden spoon at a county fair once.glad to say this carving ressembles a badger, unlike my wooden spoon that ended up looking more like a "borrowers" canou padel than a spoon lol.great work.
