I saw three stumps atopped with hessian bags today and realised they were winter protected palms.

Not a sight we see where we live. Nice to be reminded of warm places!!!! I'm speaking from a snowy land, where it has snowed all day and I've stared through the window trying to imagine the plants underneath.
