I notice that you have chipped bark down on your border...can I ask?...have you found it harbours a lot of slugs? I put some down on one side of the garden and noticed lots of slugs over wintering in it.

Too early to say Scottish. When the plants start emerging, then we will see how noshed they are! So far ok. I did use pellets (organic) last year and I think that did help to reduce the numbers. Slugs are so horrible aren't they? but my main pest here is the dreaded earwig...I hate them even more...they are almost indestructible! grrrrrrr......
