Couldn't resist putting one of these on from my blog so I can link it to the place. See blog for many more...

If this is ninfarium, what is Fimfarum then? Does somebody know?

Lol, Fran. This is SteveĀ“s photo, not SevernsideĀ“s. I understand. That tetter as the heraldic of Severnside confused you hehe.

ah i had it under 'misc' in 'my garden' I have editied that now so it shows the link/tag '''This photo was taken at Aberglasney Garden Carmarthenshire'''.
So the key is to link it to the place (or add the place then link it) and dont put it into a personal garden catagory, which i guess makes sense : /

sorry, Stevie! As Eric Morecambe said memorably: I got all the right letters, but not *neccessarily* in the right order!
thanks, Stevie, I've found it with the link yoiu gave in your blog but I'll try it anyway, practice for another time.
it only let me put Kew Gardens in when I've tried i t - there are lots of other "places to visit" but it only wants "open gardens"
got it! i have the zoom set high as starndard, I keep forgetting that there's another half-page offscreen to the right!

I am sure, I would like Eric Morecambe. Who is he?

one half of Morecambe and Wise, the best comedy duo in the UK for years.
The line comes from one of their sketches, with Andre Previn, the conductor

Yes, this place is very beautiful. Thanks to Steve we could be in :)

I read that the Romans built houses that looked inwards, with an internal courtyard, rather than the current trend, which is to look outwards to gardens.
I'd like both! an internal gardened courtyard would be totally private, undisturbed, ... total chill-out. And one like this ...!

I like both, too. Monasteries did the same - inward oriented gardens. One of the most beautiful I have ever seen was in Monreale (Sicily). Will try to find old pictures.
