Iris danfordiae

Lovely!

I've got 180 Dutch Iris to plant up...I went daft in bargain corner and spent 90p on three bags!

I love them,wish I could find them for that price...

Wow, that was a bargain Pimp. I thought I did well - 36 for £1!!!! Are dutch irises small or tall?

Someone is going to be very tired of planting irises ; better give some away Pp .

These are all dwarf iris. The May flowering ones - the dutch iris are great value for money and they are wonderful cut flowers. They grow approx. 15-18" tall. I bought these ones at 50p for 20 bulbs and they did not all flower last year. They were only planted on 24.1.11 which was way too late according to the packet but I could not resist a bargain and now the surprise. They were originally priced at £2.99 for 20 or 2 packets for £5 so I got a huge discount. I like Lidl and Aldi for bulbs. They seem to be pretty healthy and come up when expected.

Do have Lidl but no Aldi, our Wilco`s have some bargains sometimes but I always miss them, my own fault as I cannot stand shopping so only go down town when I have to...

A bit like me then. I try to avoid shopping but needs must for food. We don't have a Wilcos but I have been in a few up and down the country and found some good buys.
