Pieris flower buds

Lovely picture, lovely plant, I have several pierris, they always have some interest on them and can be spectacular!

This one needs a little TLC Sticki, re-potting in fresh compost and it will good as new. They are amazing sometimes, i have seen a house that had one growing nearly as high as the bedroom windows.

how fantastic! we had a lovely one but unfortunately it was so near to the window we couldnt see out ~ it was about 5 foot tall but in a flower bed that was raised.
i had to cut it down, but i wish i hadnt had to, it was a beautiful specimen. i didnt take it out, it is growing back so im hoping i can just keep it small!!??

Gorgeous plants - lovely photo Pimms. Ours is in a raised bed with ericaceous compost . . . it reached 10ft about 3 years ago, so we cut it well back (with trepidation), but it is fine. Now a healthy 4ft which is more in proportion to its site.

Thanks Pimms, that's amazing. My memory must be playing tricks . . . I was thinking that the flowers appeared after the red bracts (which appear here in April).

Beautiful cluster of flowers. My pieris always die, I do not know why. Probably they need a lot of water and humid climate.

I know. And partial shade and do not like heats.
