Rare, as far as I know. We had just a scatter last winter, that was all. Our neighbour, 80-something years old, was surprised the snow had persisted for so long!

The weather the last three years here has been very strange, too! This year we've had one of the warmest winters on records, many days above 82ºF/28ºC. We typically do have a relatively warm winter...although, not quite so consistently warm to hot. I haven't counted how many days we've had 90ºF/32ºC or greater here in inland San Diego, since Jan. 1st.
