Pretty and named for the bard of Avon..."a tulip by any other name would smell as sweet".... (apologies)
does it have a scent? My favourite tulips are the parrot tulips which are strong vibrant reds and yellows (not everyone's cup of tea) but they have the fringed petals and the most lovely lily-like scent. So I planted them off to themselves in my last garden and enjoyed the little oasis of brilliant colour and scent without any clashes.
I really like the size and colour of these...they would be coming thro the snow if planted over here...or is it just that your winter has been mild enough that they're ahead of normal time? I have an email newsletter from Breck's Bulbs every couple of weeks from February on...will look to see if they have it.

Lori, I wouldn't say it's been a mild winter, but it has been an 'average' one. No snow so far! :)) This tulip is very early indeed, I think perhaps the mulch has kept the ground warmer and brought it on more quickly. It is a lovely one though..hope you get some. :)
