Well, I like it as it is. :))

I think Pim, that you are wassermann (waterman). On each of your photos, there are water drops. That is not normal.

It's nice to capture the rain. I done a rainy day blog last year. Got some lovely close up shots (well I think they are!). They are some of my favourite pictures I have taken

Used to love doing my delivery in the drizzly rain. Was always nice and refreshing! Now I'm sitting at work watching the drizzle...some things never change :)

28 Feb, 2012
Yes you can send cake Sticki. Is it going local or farther a field?
28 Feb, 2012

Unseen UK: Photographs by the People at Royal Mail

28 Feb, 2012
in this country scottish, do i just need to pack it carefully? shall i write on the outside that it contains cake?
i wonder if 'Tony Richards' was part of that book pimpernel ~ i could email him and ask but i dont actually know if he was a postman or if i dreamed that??
28 Feb, 2012
mouse!!!???
no its not cheesecake!!!
28 Feb, 2012
Yukkkkk!!!!!
You want to make sure it's wrapped well Sticki. Its a choice between making it sturdy enough so it doesn't end up costing a fortune to send. Try to make sure it doesn't move about in the packaging too will help.
Do you still get wedding cake in little boxes through the mail P? These always used to end up squashed too!
We Could start a goypedia for RM staff!!

Plants are a nightmare through the post...I have put them in a green house and looked after them for a week until the customer comes home before now!
Say nothing Angie..Sackable

Anywhere other than local if posted 1st class will go on a plane Sticki. Not that that affects the cost though.
Mark on it perishable if you want too. If it were mine I'd pack it up in something like a Tupperware box which will keep it air tight too
28 Feb, 2012
P when I was on van deliveries lots of my customers used to get the plug plants. I always asked if they prefered me to put them in the greenhouses. Saved me time on waiting on them answering the door. They all thought that was a great idea. We've all been there and done things we shouldn't P. all for the customers benefit though!!
28 Feb, 2012
yes i was thinking that scottish ~ thanks both!!
seems so unfair pimpernel all you do is help and that can cause so much trouble ~ it happens everywhere. i hate it.
28 Feb, 2012
Being on the post you see people as they are Sticki.. 99% of people are good and kind, despite what you read or see on the TV..Same with your job.
28 Feb, 2012
yes thats true, in this job i havent seen it go wrong but i have in other jobs.
28 Feb, 2012
nice shot Pp i do like the rain drops in the web..

Thanks for the link to Scottish's lovely rainy blog. The rain comes in handy if you're ever at the Chelsea Flower Show . . . everyone else dashes to the cover of the marquee, and you can view the show gardens with ease! (if you've remembered your brolly, of course, tsk.)
