I couldn't make it so fluttery. It looks right, a magical rainbow .

Thing is Pimps I can't capture it when the light shines on it just right I either get the wings looking how I see them or the body but never the two together grrrrrrrrrr and when I try and put the photo in more focus I lose the look altogether because there is so much reflection going into the camera?

how big is it Nana..

9.5" square only had a few bits of glass and not much black hence the blue trying to use up bits for my garden thats most of the irridencent gone now, need to make another order when I get my bonus lol:)

Been looking on the net Pimps and everyone seems to have the same problem when trying to photograph irridescent never mind I know what it actually looks like lol:)

Running Pliers, Flat Pliers, Glass cutters, Groyzer Pliers, grinding stone, tweezers, PVA, ply or stone, grout, pigments, watercolours, sealant, Oh and glass of the irridescent kind and dichroic if you have plenty of pennies and leather gloves safety glasses and plenty of patience..............have I left anything off of the list LIL?

thank you Nana_d I agree art does come in different forms, my garden is my canvas, I suppose, lol. I do love to see different forms of art and I love to look at your mosaics but most of all I like painted art - the old style not the modern styles, although after saying that I do like some of the modern style painters, just not a fan of too much bright paintings I like the old masters look best. lol. but then of course that is me (old fashioned)lol. love all your mosaics. very pretty work.

Hi Lulu tried it was better but cos it was Lisa's 3oth weekend we had peeps staying then more visitors and then it rained today will have ago tomorrow morning before work as I am on lates. Are you feeling any better??x

I know Pimps very expensive ceramic tiles are a bit cheaper but now I have used glass and seen the effect I am hooked on it. I get off cuts from Creativeglassguild and crazy pave packs from Mosaic Heaven and also the Craft Kit trouble is the postage and packing costs too:(

Maybe we should get together and do a drive round Nana! Save the postage and have a drink in the pub on the way back!

Had huge reaction to a drug the doc put me on, covered in hives..A&E called it Urticaria, massive dose of steroids!!

Hi Lulu sounds good idea we could meet in Bristol and have lunch in Bath or something? so glad you are feeling better apart from the hives!!! Glad you have got your mojo back lol:) Tried photographing again this morning before I went to work but really not totally catching the look but hey ho the good thing with digital cameras is that you can keep taking them. I am using Sandolin on the back of the ply not varnish have put three coats on the back of the Bee mosaic and also couple of coats of water sealant on the edge. The Sandolin should last for up to six years so much better option than varnish.

I loathe driving to Bristol, I get SO lost!!!!! I must update my sat nav. I know creative glass is near to The train station (not the temple meade one!)

Perhaps we could go by train and meet up? Not good at finding places either lol:) Yes it comes in lots of different wood shades and lasts a long time. Not good about your hives ...I have still got my skin thing it looks like its nearly going then comes up again need some sun the cosultant said that was the best thing for it but not sun beds because I suggested that one lol:) Are you taken any piriton for the itching? Lil's new mosaic looks good she is brilliant at those monochrome ones isn't she!

I'm sure I can work it out somehow....updating sat nav will help now that Bristol has been re routed with all it's roads!

My next mosaic also most probably for the garden is going to be a snail but in Gustav Klimt style weird I know but thought it would look quite effective:) Might need to order a few bits beforehand though:))
