Long as he has a good apetite for slugs and snails he's as welcome as the flowers in spring!!hahaha. Noticed any strings of tiny black jelly eggs? They have a very loud trill of a mating call.

Hi Lori - in the UK it's the toads that make strings of eggs - I've no idea what their mating call is like! Never seen a toad in my garden, just lots and lots of frogs. But the frogs croak in the evening - if you get the tone and pitch just right you can croak and frogs will answer back. Now, how bonkers do I sound...?

Ah...sorry Sid... my eyes aren't what they used to be...thought that was a lovely little toad. and as to talking to frogs-- you get answers! hahaha...just like Doctor Doolittle! I have put "toad houses" in my garden...to attract the lovely little munchers. Thought the lady toads trill would disrupt my sleep...but strangely it was more of a lullaby...Amphibians in the garden are one of nature's boons to those of us who garden! Enjoy!
