ten months on: it looks a bit smaller than before, but then it has been snowed on in the itnerim.

thanks, Poppy. I cut the grasses back month or so ago, wasn't sure if it was the right time, but they were more brown than green, so I thought, what's to lose? saved some of the tasseled heads - got them hanging upside-down to make sure they dry, then maybe seal them and add them to a decoration, indoors or out.

It looks nice and healthy Fran. Nice bit of new growth coming up in the centre. Just run your fingers through it to get rid of the old bits on the outside. (better put some gloves on, grasses can be sharp) You do that with all evergreen grasses. deciduous grasses you just cut right back in spring before new growth starts. (now) :))
