I am delighted with this little plant. The flower is very pretty against the shiny green leaves.

This website recommends it as suitable for a scree or moraine type situation. http://www.houseplantsguru.com/what-are-alpines
That advice has set me thinking that my summer flowering rockery could do with a makeover. It has been invaded by couch grass and the original plants are either gone or growing badly. It would be a big project to dig everything out and start again but it would make a wonderful scree because it has big stones and good peaty soil with excellent drainage. I can't do it until winter time because the birds are nesting in the three trees planted in it. I think I will repot this in to a larger pot and wait and see where to put it.

That type of ranunculus will come back every year so I'll look forward to seeing this years flowers from your corms. They are wonderful cut flowers. This wee one would not stand up to being cut I don't think. I thought the Clemintine type were annuals, now I know better I might give them a try.
