I went today to my garden for the second time after winter.I have there just trees, bushes and herbs. Lot of work to do. But I noticed a new visitor and he was observing me. Well, the end of March is the time, when wood pigeons arrive home from a distance.

Well, even pigeons must live and survive, so they eat what is possible. I am sure, your delicious pigeon wasn´t the one you shot down, because you were hungry in the woods and had nothing to eat. But it was your desire for culinary delight. And that´s the difference between you and pigeon, lol :)

Flying rats - we have pigeons who escaped into the wild, and now flocks of them will dive into a newly planted field to eat. They also pull daylily seedlings up. Although I did have a very tasty one on a floating restaurant in Hong Kong.
