Uvularia grandiflora (Uvularia grandiflora (Large merrybells))

The Merrybells have started to bloom, despite having been lifted and put in a pot in preparation for the house move.

Thanks PA - strange how different things do better for you or for others. I dug these up just as they were emerging, yet they carried on as if nothing had happened.

SL - I have a soft spot for feral cats, although I would never feed them.

Feral cats never starve P/nel, they just adapt or steal!!

i don't mind the cats Pp but they use my nice woody dapple shade area as a toilet and it's ruined now.....it's now a netted area :-))

very nice! I have these in my garden but right now they're in bloom along the roadsides here as well.

It would be nice to see them growing wild here!

I saw very few last year but there are loads of them this spring!! I've noticed that the roadside wildflowers seem to run in cycles - one year it's asters, another year Liatris, etc. - there's a different dominant species every year.
